In March AEPI President Brendan Howlin and an AEPI delegation were received at the EALA Parliament in Arusha, Tanzania. Speaker Joseph Ntakirutimama welcomed them in his office and the Chamber .
A meeting was help during which the Clerk and Principle Clerk Assistant gave an update on current developments with the East African Parliamentary Institute (EAPI) and the meeting discussed future developments.
Senior staff presented the work of their department and their current challenges leading to an interesting discussion on ways forward and future developments.
The day was completed with the signing an updated Memorandum of Understanding between EALA/EAPI and AEPI. After which the partners parted with a deepened friendship.
