As the TLA has progressed to the parliament’s swearing-in, the capacity building of the parliamentarians and staff is a vital next step in establishing the rule of law in S. Sudan. This produced a natural synergy between UNMISS Rule of Law department and AEPI. We discussed the first steps in responding to the parliament’s needs and in working together with each other and the parliament to secure future stability in the country. A first activity is planned for November.
