The French Ambassador to S. Sudan and AEPI held their first meeting. Ambassador Marc Trouyet had expressed interest in parliamentary affairs. He invited AEPI Director of Programmes, Innocent Minega and South Sudan Country Representative, Moses Bainipai, to meet him and his colleague Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Xavier Verjus
Ambassador Trouyet spoke of being impressed by the work AEPI had done in the past at national and state level. He offered to initiate communication with a French parliamentary group, “friends of South Sudan”, as he believed they are looking to partner with an organisation such as AEPI.
Other fruitful embassy, UN and NGO communications recommenced and will hopefully continue during the next mission to Juba in November.
